Install Configure Access Control Test Module for Qlik Sense 3.x

The Access Control Test Module is an authentication module that can be used for testing access control in Qlik Sense.

* This should never be used in production scenarios as it lacks security.

This document walks through setting up the Access Control Test Module to work with a virtual proxy and Qlik Sense. The companion document can be found: Configure Qlik Sense 1.1 Virtual Proxy for Web Ticketing

Access Control Test Module Branch Project: Access Control Test Module

** Updated June 2017 for Qlik Sense 3.x

Updates for 2.2.3:

Configure ACTM on page 5 of this document:

You no longer need to update AccessControlTestModule.js as highlighted on page 5 of this document.  Actually, leave AccessControlTestModule.js alone - don't touch it.  You need to update config.js instead.

Step 2, page 5:  The document asks you to update the paraphrase line in AccessControlTestModule.js for the function logout.  Instead, open config.js and change the following:

//Certificate password used when exporting the certificate.

config.certificateConfig = {

    passphrase: 'EnterYourPasswordHere'

};

On line 16 of config.js, include your virtual proxy in the path:

config.RESTURI='https://yourservername.com:4243/qps/EnterYourUDCHere';

On line 25 of config.js, enter your hub path here:

config.REDIRECT='https://yourservername.com/EnterYourUDCHere/hub'

Configure ACTM Login Page on page 7 of this document:

Open SelectUser.HTM in Notepad++ or equivalent editor.  Move to line 47.  Users are now entered into <span></span> HTML script.

Line 49 shows something like:

<select id="UserList" class="UserLogin" name="EnterTheNameOfYourUDCDIRECTORYNAMEHere" onchange="doLogin(this);">

      <option value="NoUser">Select a user from the list above</option>

      <option value="Lois">Lois - Sales</option>

      <option value="Clark">Clark - Marketing</option>

</select>

Great Job Jeffrey!

I also tried on version 3.01 and works fine.

It´s a best document to help all Qlik users and partners to show integration features.
