This video gets right to the point and shows you how to get started with Set Analysis. There are various blogs and articles on this topic that go in deeper, but I suggest you start here first.

Hi All

I have another question:

I also have a file but unsure how to load it. !

So the idea is that I want an overview but at the same time, a user should be able to click on the filters they  want the and the numbers of cars sold will show the result of the filter operations as well as show the total sold.

Hi Josephine,

I thinn that you could solve your problem creating two expressions.

The first one will show the number of cars sold with the current selection, and the second one will show always the total, any selecction will affect this result.

Expression 1:

= sum({$}NumSold)

Expression 2:

=sum({1}Numsold)

I hope it could help you.

If you want to attach a file you have to use the advanced options in the comment, but I really don't find it in this post. Maeby you can open a new Question and attach here the link.

Thank you this worked beautifully.

I am sorry I cannot do the correct sign - I just cannot see where to do it.

so the 1 means - use all data - ignore selections

=sum(Numsold)

the $ means - use the selections

= sum({$}NumSold)

Thank you again.

Thanks Michael

I thought something was different, but I did not know what it was.

What should I do now?
