Qlik Sense App: Monitor Capacity Licences on Qlik Cloud and Notify of Usage

Qlik Analyzer Capacity licences are a great way of allowing a large number of infrequent users into your Qlik apps. Out of the box though it is not easy to monitor their usage in Qlik Cloud (SaaS).

This app uses the licences API to find how many minutes of capacity there are on the server, how many minutes have been consumed and where you would expect usage to be on this day of the month, given a calculated run rate. If usage is higher than a set threshold then an email is sent notifying of this.

The app is designed to work in Qlik Cloud, but can be modified to work in Qlik Sense Enterprise for Windows (client managed) also.

The Entitlement Analyser is probably the closest to what you want. You will probably want to add some new charts to it though. 

The Instant Sense App I mention above has a script included in the download that looks at SaaS sessions, which gives a good indication of who should have what. More details in that app are here:

Hi @Thomas_Hopp 

Same as @Alastair_Ometis post above. Really keen to develop an app that will let admins see which capacity users are high usage (and therefore flip them to full analyser) - it will be a game changer for capacity licence management.  

Any news on the endpoints we can use? 

@stevedark / @Alastair_Ometis have either of you heard any updates from anywhere?

Still cobbling together what I need, by calling the API myself and/or extending the Entitlement Analyser, depending on the client.
