Qlik Sense Desktop - Using QVSource Data Connectors (video)

QVSource is a Qlik Technology Partner that provides a small light weight application that communicates with the growing number of online services and data sources; retrieving data and feeding it into Qlik Sense and QlikView, where you can then merge your external and internal data to make informed business decisions.

QVSource sits alongside QlikView or Qlik Sense and retrieves data from various online services, using connectors, and presents it in well-formed schemas. The data can also be enriched as it's being retrieved, so for example a Tweet could be analyzed for it's sentiment (was the mood neutral, positive or negative?) and so represents text as a number.

UPDATE: - In order to use QVSource connectivity - you need to Disable the Standard mode setting.

It would be nice to have the popular web services connectors included as standard feature of Sense. Beside XML support it would be nice to have JSON support out of the box.

Hi Alex, thanks for your comment. They are appreciated. Currently - the standard Qlik Sense Web File Connector supports HTTP "web services" via a configured URL. So any service that offers a REST or SOAP access and returns HTML, XML or a delimited format can be used today by defining the URL in the Web File URL parameter. Native JSON support is something that is being considered for a future release.
