Work with LAYERS in Qlik Sense

QlikSense is amazing.

QlikView also is amazing because possibilities of overlapping objets.

Imagine if can we do overlapping with QlikSense features??

I know that we can do this with mashups, but mashup requires advanced knowledge in webdev.

One suggestion would be to be able to work with layers within QlikSense. In which each object does not overlap on the same layer. But layers with overlap between them.

Thank you for this idea. While it is something that could be quite interesting, we do not plan to address this on the roadmap. We will continue to re-evaluate our priorities and strategic direction to see if this can fit in.

Hi Guys,

Indeed will be productive to have a multi layer UI and including the capability to overlap/group UI objects.

Aldo.

I came across a sample dashboard online and it has objects on top of other objects.  After I downloaded the app, I tried to replicate the layering on another sheet but can't.

I copied each piece separately into a new sheet and tried to move one object on top of another.  One object is a gauge hence the donut with the title "Gender Ratio".  The other is just an icon (2 headshots) on the top left corner.  I even tried moving the object with different keys pressed like the Shift, Alt and ctrl.  No luck.

One theory I had was that the app was originally a Qlikview dashboard with layering built in but was later converted to Qlik Sense and the layering was kept intact during the conversion process.

Does anyone here know how this was accomplished?
