Mobile Selection Bar in Progressive Web App Mashup

We have a Progressive Web App mashup pulling content from a QAP and it is working well. The standard selection bar works great in desktop mode, just as it does in the Hub. However, when our app goes into mobile mode, the selection bar is staying as-is and is not "responding" to the change and going into mobile/small screen mode.

Obviously using the desktop selection bar on a mobile device is not so great, as there is no space to see more than about one selected dimension.

I was under the impression that the selection bar should automatically switch to mobile mode, as it does in the hub, when it detects a small screen device, but, no matter what we do, we can't get it to switch.

Any ideas?

Unfortunately, there's no mobile/responsive support for the current selection bar in mashups and this is mostly due to countless compatibility issues with different page layouts & CSS frameworks.
