QlikSense how to set variable using API

Hi guys,

I have an Angular app which I would like to integrate with Qlik Sense App. What I wanted to do is to use QlikSense Variable API to set it's value from my Angular app - but it seems that I can't use this API from third party app. It would work if I use Mashup. Any suggestions how could I do that from my external app?

Any other suggestions? Which part of Enigma.js should I use? I can't find anything there which would help me setting my apps variables.
