Question on API/Data Visibility in Salesforce

I am having difficulty with a data visibility issue regarding Salesforce.

I have two different user accounts created - one for which I am a system administrator and have read/write access, and another for which I have only read access.  I am attempting to use the latter to allow an external partner to assist in development of QVDs. 

There are several key fields that are visible to me through the Qlik Salesforce connector via the system admin user profile, but not via the external user profile.  I have set access at both the profile and permission-set levels to those fields in Salesforce, and Bulk API is enabled, but I remain unable to view them as that user.

Has anyone else encountered this issue?  If so, what is the resolution?
