server login attempt failed

Hi,

We have installed Qlik Sense Mobile on Apple Ipad.

As per the rules provided by Qlik, we have done changes in QMC (Offline access, Client Authentication Link, enabled TLS 1.2).

We are getting issue "Server login Attempt failed". Please help us to close this issue.

Thanks,

Kalyan

Hi Kalyan,

Could you confirm that you are able to connect to your Qlik Sense Enterprise deployment from Safari or Chrome on your iPad?

Could you also provide some additiaonl info

- What QSE version have you deployed Are you on the April 2018 release?

- Screenshot of the issue you are seeing.

- Is there a reverse proxy/gateway/firewall between your mobile device and QSE?

Thank you,

Prabhul

Hello Kalyan,

I would like to know if you have whitelisted all of the following in the QMC:

- IP address (public IP)

- Host name

- Actual host name (Windows machine name)

- DNS name (e.g., myhost.mydomain.com)

Thank You

Bala

The browser image you've supplied indicates that a connection to Qlik Sense is occurring at http://10.10.1.51/hub/  (not using HTTPS) and that you don't have a valid SSL Certificate configured on your Qlik Sense Proxy.

Please adjust the Client Authentication Link at http://10.10.1.51/qmc/ and retry adding this connection to Qlik Sense Mobile.

May be this:

As of iOS version 8 and above, un trusted certificates are not allowed.  This means that self-signed certificates such as those Qlik Sense uses out of the box are not sufficient to enable access to the Qlik Sense Hub on iOS devices.

The easiest solution is to utilize the Proxy setup as per above and have users navigate to the server via HTTP and not HTTPS.  **Make sure to have HTTP enabled anyway for if the below doesn't work, you will need an alternate way to get back into the QMC.

Step - 1 Make Allow HTTP check box as True in QMC > Proxies

Step -2 Use Any other port except 80 , ( please ask the server admin to enable this new port on your server )

Step - 3 Put the IP in Whitelist in QMC > Virtual Proxies.

Restart the QMC.

Hi Michael,

We have tried to use HTTPS initially and created the authentication link. But we can't able to access the Qlik Sense.

Pls refer the third screenshot.

Later we have tried to use HTTP instead of HTTPS, and created the authentication link. Still we can't able to access Hub. Pls refer the second screenshot.

Instead of Qlik Sense mobile app, we have tried to open Qlik Sense Hub in Safari browser. still we can't able to open Hub. Pls refer first screenshot.

These issues were occurred only in IOS of Apple products.

We are able to access from Android mobiles.

Thanks and Best Regards,

Kalyan

Hi Bala,

Thanks for your reply.

We have tried the steps mentioned by yourself in QMC, except other port (80).

We will try for that and update you.

THanks and Regards,

Kalyan
