Authenticate your Qlik Sense Desktop - Did this just come in under the radar!

Hi All. 

I was looking for something in my QSB QMC earlier and this new item caught my attention. "Authenticate your Qlik Sense Desktop". 

If you go to your QSB QMC link and go to /settings/personal-info, "https://AAAAAA.eu.qlikcloud.com/settings/personal-info" these options are at the bottom of the page.

Works well with June release and it does work in offline mode.

You have to authenticate every 10 days against QSB.

Hi John,

Josh Good mentioned this on LinkedIn a little while ago, and Bruno Calver mentioned it on a UK Qlik Meetup earlier in the week.

It will mean that you can carry on using Qlik Sense Desktop after the end of the month, and that pesky start-up message will go away.

I think that you need to get the June 2020 release of Desktop to make it work. I've tried it with the Feb release and it kinda works, but not quite. It requires you to log in each time, where when I have authenticated against a client-managed Enterprise server there is no pop-up at all when opening Desktop.

Thanks for all that feedback. I missed both, not very good, but will catch-up. I will download June over the weekend. 

To me what is significant is the authentication is against Qlik Sense Business, not Enterprise. That is great news. 

By the way, do you know if it has a 'off-line' mode? You know the one, when there is no signal and you get that 'stare' when you as if you can connect to their wifi...
