Hello Qlik Users!
An optimization in QVD writing was made in Qlik Sense April 2020 and QlikView 12.50. This optimization has given a performance boost for most but a few clients have encountered an error due to the new write speed when reloading from QVDs. During the reload, the QVDs can get locked, resulting with a failure and the following error message:
System error: Failed to open file in write mode for file: \\servername\foldername\XXX.qvd
There is a Setting.ini change that can be made that will turn off this optimization to alleviate the above error message. For more information on the Setting.ini change, please see the following article:
