Access Qlikview Access Point Via Internet ( For users Outside Network)

Hi All,

Can we access Qlikview access point Via Internet using Qlikview Webserver Setup. As no IIS is configured in our environment
As mentioned , Access point will be accessed by users who are outside our network . How can Qlikview authenticate the Users . What are the steps I need to perform at Qlikview Server Side.

Can you pls let me know the steps to make QlikView Access Point accessible offsite(from any network).

I tried some steps as described in the link http://community.qlik.com/docs/DOC-4301, but was not successful.

I've also learnt from some of the links that port 80 needs to be opened.

I'm least knowledge about changing those kind of settings.

Can you guys help me to change the settings in detail!

We are unable to login in to access point in server also

Your help is very much appreciated.

Thanks in Advance!

Responsibly making a QlikView server available via internet can be challenging to do correctly.  There is more than one approach, depending on your audience (company users, public users, etc). If you have no experience in this area I recommend you engage Qlik services or a local partner to assist.

In many scenarios it's easier to make the outside user to internal ones which access your company network per VPN because usually there exists already some implemented processes for all kind of external people - from the technically side as well as from the security and legal side.

@Nikh5786

Could you please share the screenshot of the Authentication section under QVWS in QMC?

What kind of authentication is configured for external access?
