The user being able to see documents on the AccessPoint means that they have file access to them.

I'll try and explain this a little better:

When accessing a QlikView document, the user needs to pass three steps:

  • Authentication (Who are you?)
  • Authorization (Are you allowed to see this?)
    • QlikView has two default authorization mechanisms. NTLM and DMS, with script based Section Access as another option to compliment them. See Authorization on our Help site for details. If they are authorized to access the document, they are able to see them on the AccessPoint.
  • License (Are you licensed to use the product?)
    • This step involved CALs. A user may be able to see the document and click it, but if no CAL is available, they will receive a message stating the server currently doesn't have a CAL for them.

What is happening in your case is likely that the user has access (is authorized) to view all these documents, due to file level access directly on disk, or configuration done in the QlikView Management Console. For example, if you use NTFS permissions, the user may be in a group that has access to the document. Or if you are using DMS, "All Authenticated" users may have been given access.
