Accompanying QlikView´s Tasks with an external program in C#

Hi,

I need that a key users, can accompanying the QlikView´s Task, but i can´t available the QMC. Anybody knows how can I create a program in C#. How to connect the QVS in the program?

If you have a QlikView Publisher license you can run External Program tasks from the management console to launch any external program that you want to run using tasks.

I know that, but I need accompanying the task, for see if the task finished or not, without the QMC.

Yes you can use an External Event Driven Execution functionality of QlikView.

Yes, I think it work just for qlikview.

For Qlik Cloud, you can use Application Automation. Note that this thread is over 11 years old and for QlikView. If you have questions regarding Qlik Cloud > Application Automation, suggest that you start a new thread in the Qlik Application Automation forum.

Hi, after I check Application Automation , I am not found that automation can support dependency task like qlikview. can I create dependency task in automation?

I have seen customers use the Custom code block to call external triggers. As stated previously, if you have questions around how to use Application Automation, start a new thread in the appropriate forum.
