We're migrating our system from automatic windows authentication against our AD server to having users log on. We were able to get this to work by changing the QVWS authentication login address from Default login page to Alternate login page. The only issue is that the username entered on the login page has to be prefixed with our domain name. So instead of me entering in "mhouck01", I have to enter in "domain/mhouck01". This is fairly confusing to our users so I want to know if there is a way to automatically prefix the domain name onto the user ID.
So, when I type in mhouck01, it authenticates "domain/mhouck01" against the ActiveDirectory server. Is this possible?
I played around with the Header and Custom User type options and the prefix variable, but I couldn't get either of them to work. Header would just hang indefinitely and Custom User would throw a server error.
