Bookmarks issue on the Access Point

Hi,

Could someone help with the problem?

The User is able to use the model via Access Point, but once he clicks the 'Add bookmark' button only the screen becomes grey and there is no pop-up with bookmark options.

Server settings:

  • Version: 11.20.13206.0
  • IIS using;
  • Allow Server Objects is activated;
  • Allow Creation of Server Objects is activated in a Document setting;
  • Allow Server Bookmarks is activated In the document.

What I've already tried:

  • tried different browsers, incognito mode as well;
  • allowed pop-up in the user's browser settings;
  • IP address instead of a name in the URL.

If click on the error in the Chrome Developer tool, it shows in a new tab:

failed to load resource: the server responded with a status 500 qlik access point

Hi @Yevhenii,

Is this issue only occurring with one user?
Is this issue only with this specific QVW?

Have you tried having user clear browser cache?

Please note that QV version 11.20 reached end of life many years ago, so you'll need to upgrade this environment to version 12.70 in order to be in compliance to get assistance from Qlik Support.

Hi @Chip_Matejowsky

1. For now, only one user reported the problem. We requested to check other users from that region.

2. Yes, only one specific QVW.

3. Yes, made attempts with cleared the browser cache.

What else can we perform?

Thanks.

Hi @Chip_Matejowsky

The issue occurred with all users.

Still can not find a solution.

I assume that something has changed within your environment, like any OS updates, new/changed tools/settings within the network, a newer desktop client or ... so what's different now?

Hi @Yevhenii , please consider that we never tested QlikView 11.20 with the most modern versions of the browsers, so it might be that functionalities get broken because of new security needs. We have made several changes in the meantime to comply with new requirements by Chrome and other current browsers.
You will need to either upgrade QlikView or use some old browsers (which, of course, is not recommended for security reasons).
To help putting things in perspective, your version of QlikView was released seven years ago.
