Hi All,
I have a server path mounted on my EE QlikView server in QMC and all the apps are getting distribute successfully to that path.
Now my requirement is to add one more mounted path:the new server path is from different location (different country), so that I can distribute some QVWs to the new path. Till now I am moving the files manually to the new path, now it should be automated.
Is it possible? Will it not hamper the performances in the local server?
Please elaborate the steps to do the same.
Regards!!
Hi,
Yes if that location is within the same domain as your QlikView Server you can do that.

Kaushik Solanki
Hi Kaushik,
I guess the domain is not same for both. Could you please elaborate more on how to validate the domains are same or not.
Are there any other ways if the domains are different?
Regards!!
Hi Below is the Error Log i faced:
Hi,
When I say domain should be same then they should be within one domain range.
Means say for example your server belongs to the BI domain, then the other Server should also be in BI domain. I have no much idea about detail networking, but you can consult your network team for detail information on domain.
Regards,
Kaushik Solanki
Ok Kaushik, I will check those.
But when I mounted its failing saying that path invalid. Have attached the Logs as well in previous scrap.
Regards!!
Hi Folks,
Any more suggestions please?
Both the Storage Locations are in Different Networks. Will it be possible to Mount/Distribute to folder in QMC?
Regards!

From your QlikView Server using the AD User your QlikView Services run under, can you at the Windows level map a drive with write permissions to the unc paths of the Storage Locations in question ?
If yes then you can mount the folder in QMC, if not then you can't.
Best Regards, Bill
Hi Bill,
I am able to Map the other location network drives in my Server/Machine and copy the files manually.
But if I am mounting the same paths, the distribution is failing saying the no access to path. Could you please help more? What exactly have to do to add a new path in QMC?
DMonanty
Note: All the below needs to be done on your QlikView Server using the AD User your QlikView Services run under
This is Important.
First map your unc path with something like this :
net use M: \\emea.menzies.net\bi\data
Check it has mapped ok and yo see what is in the folder :
dir
Create a file in the folder
echo TestFileText >> TestFile
Check the file is create ok in the folder :
dir
edit TestFile
Then if all ok, in your QMC use the mapped M: [or whatever drive letter you used]
Best Regards, Bill
