Can i delete .hdmp files? (In Windows Server 2003)
Hi All,
I am using the Windows Server 2003. Some files are created automatically in the below mentioned path
Path: C:\WINDOWS\PCHealth\ERRORREP\UserDumps\
Sample file name Qv.exe.20101008-131656-00.hdmp
Can I delete these files? Will it make any cause for my QV applications?
Suggestions are welcome....
Thanks
Gangadharan M

Those are mini dump files generated by QlikView when QVS encountered a system error or memory violation. Yes, you can delete them if you are not going to investigate the reason of errors. Usually QlikView and Microfot support looks into these to identify issues, but if you do not have any support call open and not experiencing any system issue, go ahead and delete them. These files can be read by WinDbg to see what errors details they contain.
