Connected to Server Ok, Security Settings Denies Access

Hi there,

I have a server with 10 cal's  my users cannot lease a licence, I am new to the server side of things so please "dumb it down"

My Qlikview server licence (baring serial number and licence code) looks like this

NUMBER_OF_USERCALS;10;;

DISABLE_DMS;YES;;

FORCE_AUTHENTICATION;YES;;

PRODUCTLEVEL;10;;2016-02-28

NAMED_CAL_BY_MACHINE_ID;NO;;

my CAL>General tab has the following

Identify user by: User Name

Allow Licence Lease (Ticked)

Allow Dynamic Cal Assignment (Ticked)

CAL Assigned CAL's:

my user is there

We have tried leasing a licence twice, we get the above error constantly.

Excellent, we have just had a similar issue, best mark the thread as ASSUME ANSWERED, then you won't get pestered again,

This morning I just had the same issue and to resolve the cause, took me a while : I thought it's worth sharing . 

This error/ problem could also occur if you have different (older) versions of the Qlikview client installed ! 

I upgraded the qlikview server as I had to upgrade my NPrinting environment, but not all clients where upgraded along the way. As a license lease expires after 30 days these clients turned to a personal edition and connecting the qlikview server was not possible any more  with the resulting error "Security Settings Denies Access"

Upgrading my client to the same version of the server did resolve my problem. 

Maybe this problem and solution does help someone...
