Document CAL's on multiple clients

Hi

I know that Named User CAL's can only be used for a single Named User on 2 different bits of different of hardware.

Does it work similarly for Document CAL's ?

So if done in quick succession what would happen ?

1st connect          From PC          All ok

2nd connect         From Laptop     All ok

3rd connect          From IPhone    Would this connection work ?

Many Thanks     Bill

Hi Bill,

That would be fine.  The same CAL would be used on all three connections.

The limitation you are thinking about with two bits of hardware only applies to licence lease - where you can licence only two desktop machines within a thirty day period.  This covers a single user for their laptop and desktop and is generally more than enough.

Just to add.

You can have only Active session at a time.

License lease is allowed on 2 pcs per user.
