Hello everyone,
In an application, I have put an alert which sends me an email after the reload is completed.
It doesn't work anymore when I copy the application on my production server and when my application is reloaded from QMC.
What can I do ?
Any ideas ?
Are the email smtp settings set up in your QMC ?
[Are you using QV 11.2 SR5 ? I have heard that SR% has issues with email alerts, that are sorted in SR6]
Did you setup your task after setting up the mail server? You have to setup the mail server first prior to creating all the task. If the tasks have been already created then go to each task and click "Apply."

I have tried to add this line in the settings.ini file.
SMTP_Authmethod = 2
I still don't receive any emails when I reload from QMC...
I don't have publisher (don't know if that matters...)

Did you recreate the task or click apply again?
Did you type it in with spaces? If so, change it to SMTP_Authmethod=2 , no spaces
Yes, I have added it at the end of settings.ini, like this :

Actually, I haven't created a task. I don't have publisher. So I just select the qvw in QMC in Document Tab and then click on "Reload now".
Might it be because this is another AD account who executes the reload in QMC ?
I have read in the qlikview reference manual : Alerts can only be created and triggered from Windows versions of QV (and so not from AJAX clients)
Does that mean it cannot work from QMC ?
