Facing some issue with after distribution the QVW

I have Qlik application it contains 13 countries plants level data.

I have implemented section access which working fine for country level and plant level.

Now the issue is we are breaking the application in QMC using countryname field by reduce method now I will get 13 country applications I will get my access point.

But I have given access to one user for 3 countries in section access still he able to see all the 13 countries applications.

Please provide a better solution.

Hi, have you checked the 'strict exclusion' option?

Remember to have a backup of the app to avoid unexpected lock of access to everyone (including yourself).

I was a little confused though as you mentioned using Publisher to loop and reduce things, which normally would produce a separate application for just those countries and you would be best off linking the users to the data model such that you could then do a Loop and Distribute as well that would lock everything down without section access at that level, you may still need it for other dimensions it seems though, but you want to be careful mixing Loop and Reduce and Dynamic Data Reduction in Section Access as the two together can lead to unexpected consequences.

Brett
