Filter two fields with logical OR

I have a Plan Date field and an Actual Date field.

The user wants to select a year (2018) and see all records where the Plan Date OR the Actual Date has that year.

Is this even possible?

You need to create common calendar for them.

Try to use Canonical Calendar.
