How to categorize a document to specific category while publishing the task

Can someone please let us know if there is a way where we can automatically move the reports to a Specific category on Acesspoint when the  task is run with “Loop and Reduce” functionality. By default all the documents are distribuetd to "Default" category on Accesspoint.

We are using Qlikview 11 SR2.

Thanks

Jag

You can set the Category on the Document Information step of the publisher task.

Hi Colin,

We are specifying the Category while setting up the task but when the task is run, it is going to default category.

To move the .qvw to a specific category on Accesspoint we have to Manually change it under the “User Documents” tab.

Please advise.

After setting the Category on the source doc, have you clicked Apply at the  bottom of the screen to accept the change? otherwise when you exit the doc, the changes are lost.

if you exit the task and then go back and edit it again after setting the Category, is the category still there?

This may be worth raising with QV Support, as this may be an issue that has been resolved in later versions.

We are running v11.2 SR4 (build 12129) and do not have this problem with Publisher Categories.

Hi Jagadesh,

Did you figure out how to fix this as I seem to be having the same problem in Publisher using QV 11.2 SR4. Did you raise a ticket for this?

Regards,

Ketan.

Hi Ketan,

For this feature to work, you need to Distribute the report using the “Distribute to QV Server” Option and specify the category name and then run the QV task.
