How to copy user bookmarks ?

Hi there,

I change qlik app name from "ED" to "Emergency" - Now I am unable to copy the user created bookmarks to the new app.

Please assist-

Hi @ashmitp869,

QlikView Server bookmarks are stored in the .Shared/.TShared file associated with the QlikView document (.QVW/.QVF file). For example, a QlikView document named "Test1.QVW" would have a .Shared/.TShared file named "Test1.QVW.Shared". Refer to Qlik KB article Shared Files - General Information for more details.

From the KB article referenced above:
If the name of the QlikView document is changed, the .Shared file has to be manually renamed to match before opening the renamed QlikView document in QVS. This preserves the shared objects attached to the document.

So, if you renamed a QlikView document from "ED.QVW" to "Emergency.QVW", then the user created bookmarks are likely still stored in the "ED.QVW.Shared" file. Do you still have this file? If yes, you could likely rename "ED.QVW.Shared" to "Emergency.QVW.Shared" and then check to see if the bookmarks are available when the QVW file is opened on the AccessPoint.
