Intel vs. AMD

Hello toghether!

We want to buy a new production server for QlikView (We are new in QlikView-Business)
Is there a reason why Intel is especially recommended? What specific features of Intel are used in QlikView?

At the moment we tend to buy an AMD, if no reasons to consider :

HP ProLiant DL585 G7 4x6282SE 2,60 GHz  , 128 GB RAM

Guess it's bit late to answer.

But I'd recommend to buy an Intel based server.

Qliktech has definately huge problems with computing on AMD servers. We have one (AMD Opteron 6276) and we do have these troubles and Qliktech is not able to fix it yet.

what about today?

Intel i7-10510U vs Ryzen 7 4700U for work laptop? I see in white list is AMD epyc CPU. Is now era of AMD CPU's?

I bought three laptops with i5 i5 10210U, , i7 i7-10510U and Ryzen 7 4700. Same model thinpad e15 - differing only in processors. Ryzen in synthetics tests totaly dominated under i5 and is slightly faster than i7. The difference is not noticeable by eye, the are all laptops are very fast.

But the Ryzen laptop is the cheapest of the three.

I concluded for myself that I will buying laptops on AMD processors
