Learning Qlikview need some pointers!!

Hi all I just joined an online class to learn Qlikview. The problem is the instructor is South Indian and I am not a native speaker as well andits really really hard to gather what he is getting at. I just have some questions regarding this software as I have no IT background at all. The first one is is SQL absolutely necessary for Qlikview? Also if I get the Job of a Qlikview developer what would my job entail?

Hi  @papak ,

1. It is not necessary to know the SQL. But SQL concepts like joins etc will surely help you in QlikView while designing the models in the Qlikview.

2. Depends on the Job profile for which you will get selected.

There are 3 categories in the Qlikview

1. Administrator

2. Developer (Responsible for creating QVD's, Creating models )

3. Designer (Responsible for designing the UI)
