Management Console - Unable to Cancel Running Reload

How can I stop a running reload in the management console reloadengine?  I've pressed the stop button in the console (management console/status/tasks) but it won't stop. When I right click on the .qvw file in the management console I get the message " Could not find task with ID.....".

Any ideas please?

Is your QMC running in autorefresh mode?

Otherwise, the task list may not reflect the actual situation.

Restart the distribution service and maybe even the management console service from your windows services.

Thanks for your input. The running task has now cleared on its own.
