Hi all,
I recently upgraded a QlikView Server version 9.00 SR6 to QlikView Server version 11.20 SR1. Since the upgrade a QlikView document gives me some problems in Access Point. One of the tabs inside this document contains a lot of detail and consumes all the server's memory (16Gb). At the point this happens I get a "No connection" error message.
After this event the Access Point is still reachable, I can see all the QlikView documents, but if I want to open one of them I keep getting the "No connection" error. Also other users get the error when trying to open a QlikView document in Access Point.
The only solution so far is to restart the QlikView services or reboot the machine. Any suggestions how to solve this issue?
Thanks
Hi,
As far as i know the reason for "No Connection" error is due to unavailability of the RAM.
So in your case i would recommend that you try to optimize the application and the developed sheets with in that to over come this problem.
Or you can increase the RAM.

It looks like you are right though, the mentioned document uses all the available RAM. So increasing RAM or optimize the document should solve the problem. After analyzing the document I decided to give the latter a try. The amount of tables / records probably could be decreased.
I still wonder why we did not experience the issue on this server with our previous version 9 installation... Is version 11 using the server's memory differently?
Yes, We have an issue like this an when the Ram is overloaded the No Connection Error appears til the QVS service is restarted to free-up the RAM.
Hi,
I m facing similar kind of issue.
When I'm opening the report directly from the accesspoint it ios working fine.
But when I'm trying to access the report with the full browser version URL, it is giving me the 'No Connection' error.
Is that because of RAM issue?
To note our server is shared one and lots of people using that. Is what is issue is?
Check if you can reproduce the issue i mean check How Much RAM is used at the moment The "No Connection" error appears.
