Solved: Port 4747 on UAT Server - Qlik Community

Hi all,

I am setting up my new UAT Server. For opening any port we need to give justification to our System Team.

Now I need to know as UAT or Test Server can not lease licence, so do I need to request to Open the Port 4747 to our Staff or will it work without Opening the port 4747.

Kindly suggest.

Hi Amar,

If you plan to use QVP (QlikView Desktop, Open in Server) or IE Plugin, I'd recommend you to have access to port 4747 that is QVP. If you are going to use Ajax, then there is no need.

If you want to lease the license from the server, you should open the 4747 port.

Just to clarify, a Test Server does not allow license leasing.
