Publication Problem with Trend Micro Antivirus

Hi,

we have problem when task reload and distribuite a Dashboard.

When Antivirus is off all was good , but when is on the distribution time is random from 3 minutes to 15 minutes for all Dashboard (large and smaller).

We have excluded .qvd .qvw file extension   from Scan and all folders involved for Qlik...but nothing

Some suggestion?

Thanks,

GM

Hi all,

we have solved the problem!!!

Tren Micro is very difficult to manage:

Deactivation of the webreputation function inTren Micro is not easy and does not always work.

In fact, when you restart the server even if the function had been disabled and it seemed, it was not exactly like that ... it was as if reactivate alone with default settings.

Thanks to all,

GM

This is in the server manual.
" Running realtime antivirus protection on the server degrades the performance of
QlikView Server. It is recommended that the user documents, source documents,
log directories, and .pgo files are excluded from the anti-virus scanning."

• As stated in the QlikView Server/Publisher Reference Manual, please ensure that all anti-virus, backup, or system-wide scans are not scanning the QlikView directories. Be sure to explicitly exclude any QlikView directory as well as the file types .qvw, .qvd, .shared, .meta, .dat, and .pgo.

Agreed with Ronnies comment.

We have follow that way but still not working, all exclusion have done...I already read the manual

Well, I had a conversation with one Trend Micro expert and he said regardless of the exclusions, Trend Micro will still scan does folders with exclusion and the only way to stop it, is to fully stop the Antivirus. Now, you can confirm this by using a processes monitor, which you can tell that the Antivirus still touching those excluded folders. You can use the following Process monitor: Process Monitor

I am getting a similar error on publisher and am also running Trend Micro. Are you still using Trend Micro?
