QMC not working as qlikview distribution services not starting

Hi Team,
I have qlikview server 11.0 SR1 edition and have .net 3.5 version.

 

Last week I saw "QMC is not working as qlikview distribution services not starting".

My client had changed the AD server with new ip from 26 to 28 with same domain name a few months ago.

Still Qlikview has the same ip 26 in alternate DNS of qlikview server.  They did not update the DNS ip in qlikview server but Qlikview server was working fine.i dont know how.

Last week client got some issue in AD server and they fixed AD server.

After AD server fixing my Qlikview server is not working fine. qlikview distribution services not starting.

Previously Qlikview server was working with ip 26 DNS even client changed ip in AD server , maybe  qlikview was not checking AD DNS ip  previously. But now Qlikview is checking the 26 DNS and showing the issue in qlikview services starting.

I changed the alternate DNS IP in Qlikview server from 26 to 28  and remove & re-add the domain but still same problem.

I rename the Qlikview distribution service folder name and restarted the server to resolve the qlikview distribution services start issue but no luck.

 

I checked the on google and found to start distribution services reset the counter so i did the same run the command to start the counter but no luck.

Finally i restored the qlikview server full backup and back the qlikview server with last month 1st day "1-july-2021".

Qlikview server running fine for 5 minutes(means QMC and distribution services running fine). After 5 minutes, qlikview server restarted automatically and after restart it shows same issue of QMC and qlikview distribution.

 

I checked the logs. please see the attached file for the error.

Can you please tell me how I can resolve this issue?

Hello!

This error and its most common solutions are documented here: Error 1067 when starting QlikView services .

You have already carried out a few of those steps, so that's a great start. But we have a few additional solutions listed in the article.

Please note though that the version of QlikView you are running is not covered by Support anymore and if you require assistance from Qlik directly we would require an upgrade to be performed.

Thanks for your reply.

You know  i have compleat VM backup so i restored the vm backup date prior when the issue was not in server.

After restore it worked well for 5 mins.  after 5 mins server restarted automatically and after restart services shows the issue. 

Events logs shows the restart reason is something like authentication and NT authority\system.

I think the issue with Qlikview authenticidation.

Please guide me.

This may indicate that policies are being applied on the server (from the new domain, you mentioned the AD was switched) that change the permissions of the account running the services.

Verify that it is a local administrator and a part of the QlikView administrators group and that it has all required permissions on folders as well as performance counters. 

You can swap it to a local account (also an administrator) for further testing.

I did all the steps that you said. but no luck.

This is local qlikview user account. we did all setup with this user and this user is a part of an administrative group with full folder access.

anything else i can do or i can change the dns in any qlikview config files if possible?

or remove any qlikview security?

Hi @narender123,

Can you further clarify? Initially you were experiencing a DNS issue that you resolved? But now you're experiencing a permissions issue on the QlikView services?
Have you reviewed the QlikView Management Service logs, along with the Windows Event Viewer System, Application, and Security logs?  I suggest you start there.

Hello Chip,
MY DNS server is changed as i did changes in the DNS server ip of Qlikview server. But still same issue.

you can see the error in my attached screen shots under my 1st post.

Now i am thinking to install the qlikview server again before that i need to uninstall the qlikview server on the same machine.
As you know i can not  free the qlikview server license as QMC is not opening so i can not remove my qlikvieww server license from QMC.
Can I uninstall the qlikview server and install again qlikview server 11 .?

Can i apply for the same license in qlikview server as you know i can not remove the license from the previous setup?

please advice
