QMC

Hi All,

If we have preload option not checked under document tab for one app and autoload option checked under system tab. Then does this mean application will come in memory because of autoload is checked or as preload is not checked so autoload will not bring that application in memory.

Kindly help with this. Thanks

"If preload is checked and Autoload is not checked then application will not load in memory. Is this True"

True.

"And If Preload is not checked for app and Autoload(Global) is checked then will the app come in memory after start of services?"

Incorrect. Autoload does not enable preload on documents, it simply "allows" for preloads to happen at all.

To preload a document, you always need to check "preload" for the individual document. This will then load the document into memory after service start.

Hi @sudhanshu123 ,

Where in the QMC > System tab are you referring regarding the autoload option?

In my experience, the Preload option must be checked in order to put the document in memory so that it can be quickly accessible by end users. Refer to the online Help entry for Preload:

Preload

To make the current document quickly accessed at all times, by preloading it into the primary memory of the server, tick this check box. To disable the preload function, untick this check box.

Hi,

Its there under System TAB ----> Qv Server ---> Performance.

What is the function of this autoload ,if we don't check the Preload option under documents tab ---> User documents---->Performance ----> Preload.

Does Autoload function like preload?

Attached screenshot for reference.

Thanks

Hello,

This setting is the global toggle to either allow or disallow preload. If the option is disabled, automatic loading as done by preload will not be possible globally on the server.

See the Qlik Online Help for details.

Hi,

Thanks for your reply,

So its like a on and off for Preload option under documents tab.

If preload is checked and Autoload is not checked then application will not load in memory .Is this True?

And If Preload is not checked for app and Autoload(Global) is checked then will the app come in memory after start of services.?

Kindly reply on it.

Thanks
