QVWS logs. How to change location.

Greetings.

My QlikView Web Server (QVWS) logs are currently stored here:  c:\ProgramData\QlikTech\WebServer\Log  it seems to be in the default location.   Unfortunately, the space on the C: drive is limited due to company policy.  I'd like to change the location the logs are stored to the 😧 drive which has much more room.  I've looked through QMC and through the Web service config.xml file.   I can't seem to find where to change the location the logs are stored.  any help would be appreciated.

HI @gardan,

Have a look at the Qlik Support article How To Change QlikView Service Logs/AppData To An Alternate Location which contains the following steps:

  1. Stop all the QlikView Services
  2. Open Windows Explorer and browse to "C:\Program Files\QlikView\Server\Web Server" path
  3. Open "QVWebServer.exe.config" with notepad or equivalent
  4. Search <add key="ApplicationDataFolder" value=" " />
  5. Add the new path between the " "s in the value=" " area
  6. Save the file
  7. Copy the existing files from the default location to the new location
  8. Restart all the QlikView Services

Hope this helps!
