Start Service
Once the QlikView Server has been registered and installed as a Windows service, it can be started. If the QlikView Server is set for automatic startup, rebooting the operating system will start the QlikView Server service. To manually start the service, either the Windows Services control panel or the Server Control Panel can be used.
In the Server Control Panel (Install page), click on the Start Service button to activate the QlikView Server service. The service will start and the Stop Service button will become enabled. No dialog will appear indicating successful startup of the service. The Stop Service button can be used to manually stop the QlikView Server service if necessary.
TIP: If the service does not start, and you receive the message “The service did not start in a timely manner” verify that you have a valid License Enabler File (lef.txt), and that the date contained in the LEF has not expired. If you need assistance with licensing, please contact your vendor.
thanks.
Hi, that article is for Qlik Sense, are you using Qlik Sense or QlikView?
This article is for QlikView: https://support.qlik.com/articles/000006882
In Windows Event Viewer and logs of C:\ProgramData\QlikTech subfolders can give more info about the error.
