Hello
Is there any type of visual (like a Gannt Chart) that can show the task start time, ave duration and dependencies? I just inherited an environment and I am trying to document.
thanks in advance
Frank, the key here is understand where that information resides, you will have to do your own application if the Governance Dashboard does not give you what you want, as that is the supported tool here.
So, the task durations are maintained in the QDS App Data folder in the C:\ProgramData\QlikTech\DistributionService\TaskExecutionHistory files, the trick here is everything is GUID-based, so you will have to get your task to GUID information loaded as well, and that is going to be in the QVPR DocumentTask.xml file. Let's see, that just leaves us Dependencies, and those are also in the QVPR in the TaskDependency and/or Trigger xml files, and again, things are GUID-based, so you have to get things linked in order to be able to see what you want. This is about the best I can do to try to point you in the right direction on things.
The only other place of which I can think is Rob Wunderlich's Cookbook site, which you can find here, I think he has an app, but I have never played with it to see exactly what it does....

Brett
have you looked at the Qlikview Governance Dashboard ?
yes, but that is not providing the detailed information I am looking for. I really need a chart that shows job (duration) by hour and also job dependencies.
