QlikView QMC Setting Value Change Question

I have changed QliView QMC settings in the past.
I changed only SocketTimeOutInSeconds, but why are the other 3 setting values coming out?

Please reply after checking.

Hi @qwebnm,

So as you stated the current values are:

  • TaskResultCacheUpdateSleepTimeBetweenUpdates: 200
  • SocketTimeOutInSeconds: 600
  • ForceReadNotificationMilliseconds: 20000
  • SecondsToWaitBeforeQVBKill: 80

This is what the QMC is reporting.  Whenever you have a value for the QVDistributionService.exe.config or QVManagementService.exe.config that is different from the default value, this information will be displayed here in the QMC.  Make sense?

Hi @qwebnm,

As this is a QlikView administration question, I'll move the thread from the Qlik Sense > New to Qlik Sense forum to the QlikView > Administration forum.

Confirm these settings in the  QVDistributionService.exe.config file located in %ProgramFiles%\QlikView\DistributionService folder and the QVManagementService.exe.config file located in %ProgramFiles%\QlikView\ManagementService folder.

I checked QVDistributionService.exe.config, but it was set to the existing value.

Should I also check the QVManagementService.exe.config value?
After checking, if they are the same or different, what can you tell?

please reply.
Thanks & Regards.

@qwebnm,

My question is what value do you have for these entries in the QVDistributionService.exe.config and the QVManagementService.exe.config file files?

Thank you for answer.

The current values are as follows.

1) TaskResultCacheUpdateSleepTimeBetweenUpdates: 200
2) SocketTimeOutInSeconds: 600
3) ForceReadNotificationMilliseconds: 20000
4) SecondsToWaitBeforeQVBKill: 80

Why does this alarm keep popping up?
please answer about my question.

Thanks & Regards.
