Hi,
Everyday when i log in to the qlikview server, i got this prompt right away.
Does anyone know what this is?
Hi Nick,
a little digging for the error show that this issue may be caused for two reason
- memory buffer to overflow - for some reason some app in the reload cause the memory to overrun. this link http://goo.gl/JXLIk show how this may be solved ... eventualy.
- "Data Execution Prevention" - this is some kind of windows protection from viruses - locks some part of the memory for writing. this link http://goo.gl/t3CHx shows how to add an exception in DEP (see the workaround part)
I'm not completely sure that this is the reason. I just search around for it. Maybe some more advanced guy in Windows administration can help more.
Hope this helps!
Stefan
Nick, you should check the qlikview server events log and see if there are any errors there.
Hi Stefan,
Do you know what's the best memory allocation for each core in server?
I have 24 CPU, and 12 GB RAM at the moment, and it's a 64bits.
Thanks,
nick
