Hi George,

you certainly CAN'T install Qliksense Server and QV Server on the same box, not too sure about Qlik Sense and publisher, but I would of thought NOT!

Hi andrew,

I am trying to fit Publisher somewhere (to avoid having an extra machine) given the fact that his load will be on off working hours. Can you give explain why you would not do that? (assuming that they can coexist)

Hi,

Because of the ports used by both could case an issue.

Hi Bill,

So you are saying that Qliksense and Publisher CAN NOT coexist on the same OS. Correct?

Hi,

Did you test this one out? We are (against recommendations) trying to install Qlik Sense on the server running Publisher and it appears that Publisher will not start if Sense is present on the server. There should be no conflicting ports, that should not be what is preventing publisher from starting. Do you have any ideas what could be the actual root cause why Publisher does not want to start when Sense is installed (and shut down) on the same server?

Same porting issue. May be you can completely redesign port number for either one of the tool. But even if you could bring both of them, logically it's not right choice. Because both are In-Memory tools, They greedy about the resources.

It will end up hanging the server.
