Qlikview 12.70 SR1 problems with print to pdf

With upgrade to QV 12.70 SR1 the issue with default printer exists again (Windows Server 2019).

The fix for 12.60 (below) doesn't work..

Any fixes possible?

Fixes the export to pdf action parameter PDF Printer Name and adds the setting DefaultPDPrinterName that makes it possible to specify the name of a default PDF printer. The problem only exists on Windows Server 2012.

Also works on Windows Server 2019 (tested Windows Server 2012 R2 and Windows Server 2019)

Steps:

• Edit the : C:\ProgramData\QlikTech\QlikViewServer\Settings.ini
• Add: DefaultPDPrinterName=PDF-XChange 3.0 somewhere below [Settings 7]
• Restart QlikView Server service

And Yes Qlik named the setting DefaultPDPrinterName instead of DefaultPDFPrinterName

Hello ,

Confirm the following:

1. Does the issue happen on PDF distribution or Printing to PDF from within the QVW? 

2. Note The default is Microsoft Print to PDF, should be the default on the server:

a. If that is true, is it also selected from within QVW (can be checked by opening the qvw in Qlikview desktop)

3. are getting the timeout error?

You can only use  DefaultPDPrinterName=PDF-XChange 3.0 for 12.60 SR1

For all versions after that it is changed to DefaultPDFrinterName=PDF-XChange 3.0
