Qlikview Distribution Service (QDS) always down

Dear Community,

Our client have an issue with Qlikview Distribution Service (QDS). The QDS is always down without a reason, but the Qlik Service is still running. We solved this issue by restarting the service. However, the issue keep happening gradually. Are there any solution to solve this issue?

Hello @Golden,

Based on your description it sounds that the QlikView Management Service (QMS) is losing communication with the QlikView Distribution Service (QDS) and when you restart the QDS the communication is restored.

Suggest that you start by reviewing the QMS logs for errors or warnings. Also ensure that antivirus software has the required exclusions for QlikView files and folders. If running a QDS cluster, review the QlikView white paper Scaling the QlikView Publisher, which details configuration changes that you can enable to improve QDS performance.

Post back here if you have further questions or open a case with Qlik Support.

@Golden

I am curious what version the customer is running? We did have issues with this in  earlier versions like 12.20.

In addition the the great articles that @Chip_Matejowsky gave you.  I suggest that you check the solution in the below article too.
