Qlikview Server 10 URL not working

Hi all,

We are in the process of upgrading our Qlikview Server from Version 9 to 10. What issue we face is when we access a dashboard through accesspoint, it is opening the dashboard but after closing all the IE sessions, if we copy the URL that is formed and try to paste the url in IE the same URL doesn't work. We couldn't understand why this is happening? Is there something happening like gen ticket or anything that is preventing the same URL to work ? Please suggest. as we are trying all these things in production it is urgent.

Thanks in advance.

Amar

Dear George,

We checked it with a Qlikview Helpdesk & we found that the QlikView Server Version that we installed was 10.0.8715.5 which was the initial version with some bugs. We uninstalled the QVS with that version & installed a Qlikview Server Version 10.0.8811, SR1 which has a fix for the error. We resolved the problem by using the SR1. See if this helps.

Thanks. Big Smile

I just tested on my server and I did not have any issues. My URL looks like this.

http://localhost/QvAJAXZfc/opendoc.htm?document=Films.qvw&host=Local

Except if you are using anonymous access you'll need to be authenticated by the AccessPoint in order to be granted access to an application when connecting with the Ajax client. If you are using an external authentication provider, the server will use tickets to grant access but they are only valid to open a document for a very short time (less than a minute IIRC).
