Qlikview application greyed out after opening properties window

Good morning,

I have a very frustrating issue at the moment. I have been working on a Qlik dashboard, however when I was using the properties option for one of my charts I think I clicked off the Properties window and now it's returned me to the main app, but everything is greyed out and I can't click on anything on the application, dashboard or toolbar options. I also can't get back into the properties dialog box to close that down.

Any help would be great as I fear I may need to close the app losing my work.

Thanks

James

Hi @JamesMF82,

Are you using QlikView Desktop?  In reviewing the description of your issue, I'm wondering if you have dual monitors and have moved the chart properties window at some point and now it is "lost."  If that's the case try the following steps to clear the display positions from QV Desktop.

  1. Close QV Desktop
  2. In Windows File Explorer, browse to %Users%\<your username>\AppData\Roaming\QlikTech\QlikView
  3. Open the Settings.ini file in a text editor such as Notepad++
  4. Scroll down to WindowPos section and delete all entries under this section
  5. Save the Settings.ini file
  6. Launch QV Desktop and try again

Well if you're looking for the load script, try ctrl+e on
Its odd you can't save, can you duplicate the file in whatever directory you opened it from?
