Reload document fails while scheduled, manual is successful

Hi all,

I have a problem with one of my documents: scheduled reload fails while manual reload from Qlikview Developer runs fine. Here is my tasklog.txt:

Since it says"The Source Document reload complete" and after that it says "Error The Source Document was NOT reloaded successfully" I don't know what the problem is. The document makes connection to an Oracle database with ODBC.

Could it be that a version of this document is still open, so i cannot save the document.

But when it tries to finish it, it fails, so it looks that the document can't be saved or something.

No I'm sure that's not the problem. I have generated the documentlog and it says this:

So it looks like my service account which is running the QVS is not allowed to user ODBC. I run Qlikview Developer as another user and that works fine.

It seems that the user running the service can not 'see' the odbc connection as you suspect.

Check if you create this as a System DSN (datasource) this is the only way the connection can be used by any user on the machine.

Also make sure, that the system user which runs the QV reload task is autorised to perform a databaseread.

else the database will deny access to it.

Yes, both are 64 bits.

I am sure the problem is caused by the way I created the odbc connection. Since it is a user dsn the service account does not have privilege on the created user dsn. I asked the server administrator to create a system dsn for me.

I had the same issue and struggled with it for a long time.

I eventually found the solution to my problem hope it helps you as well.

Check that the System DSN "Data Source Name" is exactly the same on both servers.

Start-->Control Panel --> Administrative tools --> Data sources (ODBC) --> System DSN

Select the dataq source , Click configure and check the "Data source Name"
