Renew license

I have re-new the licence on Qlikview server but we don't have any change on the user cal. Do I need to update the latest license key to QlikView Server?

If you are renewing the license ( actually maintenance agreement), usually the license key is not updated. However, there is something new post qv 12 launch in agreement. If you are provided with a new license key (you can compare and find), you should update.

As Tresesco mentions, the license or control number don't change unless you change your product (e.g.: from SBE to Enterprise Edition, and still), but the validity of the license does expire. You will see a PRODUCTLEVEL line in your LEF (QMC > System > Licenses > QlikView Server > QlikView Server License) with a date.

You might need to enter the control number again and click on "Apply License" to refresh this value, otherwise the server will not start or appear "Off Duty" or "Unlicensed". Check with your account manager or partner manager at Qlik to be on the safe side but usually that's all the hassle. All the assigned licenses are kept as they were.
