SAN in a distributed QlikView Environment

Hi All,

Can anyone please share a brief technical how-to steps on setting up the SAN for a QlikView Environment wherein there are two QlikView Servers Clustered and a QlikView Publisher on a third system?

Is it required to share the folders in the SAN storage device for the access of the QlikView Server and Publisher services in other systems? Would it be the same folder sharing mechanism we would do if not for SAN, say, one folder(\\Publisher\Ext) in the Publisher server for extractors and dashboards, and one folder in the QlikView server for Root folder(\\Server\Root) to where the Publisher updates the Dashboard?

Thanks in advance!

This is not like Windows clustering at all.

For a Distributed Deployment we only support Windows shares and that is all.  Now behind the Windows share could be a SAN/NAS or whatever but it must be exposed to the QlikView servers as *true* Windows hosted share with a Windows Server doing the sharing.
