Salt values within Qlikview

Hi all,

I am implementing an enterprise-wide solution for Qlikview 12 and require certain values to be in salt.

Have any of you been through implementations where:

- DB authentication credentials need to be in salt

- Password to access QVW needs to be in salt

And as well as the method to generate the values in salt, whether its OOTB or from an external source? Any related help will be much appreciated, thank!

What does "to be in salt" mean? Do you mean encrypted? The passwords stored in the qlikview document are encrypted. If you use a user directory (for example Active Directory) to authenticate users on the Qlikview Access Point then the passwords are stored in the user directory, not in Qlikview.
