Shared/Tshared file removal impact

1) If Shared/Tshared of QlikView's qvw file is deleted, what objects and bookmarks are deleted?
2) I understand that deleting Shared/Tshared deletes objects from the access point.
If so, if the Shared/Tshared backup file is pasted back to the same location as the qvw file, can the objects be used normally?

Please check if possible.

thank you.

Hi @qwebnm,

Suggest you start by having a look at Qlik Knowledgebase article What is a Shared/TShared file?

.Shared/.Tshared files contain the following:

  • Bookmarks
  • Sheet objects, including charts
  • Reports
  • Annotations

Yes, if a .Shared/.Tshared file is deleted, the above objects are removed from the QVW/QVF file when accessed from the AccessPoint

Yes, you can restore backed up .Shared/.Tshared files to restore the bookmarks, objects, etc.. Note that any of the items added after the backup of the .Shared/.Tshared file was taken would not be present.
