Task fails one day and runs one day

Hi Guys,

Our client is having 11.0.11426.0 Server with out publisher in Use. The Problem is that the Tasks runs one day and does not.

I am attaching both the logs.

Hi Guys,

Any idea? I installed the latest 11.2 SR1 server/Desktop client on the server but still it runs one day and other day not.

This is the error which i get

Hi Sravan,

maybe it runs out of memory and is killed by the system. This will explain why it works one day and another day not.

I've seen the same behaviour on a client system where multiple jobs start at the same time. There are random failures - jobs will run one day and not the next. Rerunning them manually always works. The only way I've found to eliminate this is to reduce the maximum number of QlikView engines available for distribution.

Please check performance on system.

This can be done with setting up performance monitor.

Also, you perhaps can get an idea from looking at the QlikView servers performance log, and check memory usage.

Also check how many QlikView engines you allow

Very much looks like you are running into performance issues.

i did check the performance and i didn't see any problems lots of memory cpu is low no process stuck....

important to mention that about a week ago the model was running fine every night

i think the DB just disconnects for some reason but i cant get any log from the QV side or the DB side in order to prove that the DB is the problem

In my case, I solved it!, starting qv distribution services with an user with administrative privileges on the server, not on the domain.
