Is there an alternate reason that we may be receiving the message in the events log?
User receives the "You don't have access to this document" dialog.
We are assigning access to certain documents via nested group assignments, placing users from different OUs into security groups for their organization, then assigning those groups into a group that has document permissions. Problem is intermittent, and usually goes away after recreating users (with new accounts) yet the group memberships are exactly the same. Manual navigation to the file location/.qvw file for these accounts had been tested, so the suspect is QV, not NTFS permissions. Originally read-only access was sufficient, we've added execute as well, but that doesn't seem to matter.
Well it turns out that there is more than one reason you may receive this within the event log. The same message is displayed for issues with file access as all as 'section access'. Our issue was setup within our document for the users receiving the error message. So if you are using section access, there may be more than one reason users would receive see the dialog.
